ANCAP porcelain - collection Nabucco

Arena di Verona and porcelain factory Ancap established close cooperation in 2013 on the occasion of thevcentenary of the opera festival in the Italian amphitheater in Verona. Cups with a Royal Aida motif were the first to be created, followed by porcelain inspired by Carmen (2014), Romeo and Juliet (2015) and in 2016 it was the elegant Turandot. The Nabucco Opera, which opened the 2017 summer season, was staged by director Arnaud Bernard. Project 2017 - Nabucco - expanded creative vision and communicates a simple and immediate strong connection between the opera festival in the Arena and its city. The fine graphics on the cups represent the medieval Italian city of Verona, with an emphasis on some of its characteristic aspects. The thick walled coffee cups issued on the occasion of the Nabucco opera show the Adige River, which divides the city into two parts: the lower one, on which stands the impressive Arena amphitheater, and the upper one, which houses the ancient Roman theater called the "Arena Minor"; The stone bridge, called Pons Marmoreus, stands in the middle. The ceremonial verses on the cup are reminiscent of Verona as a large and immortal city, the admired Arena and the Great Memorial Theater, built to the city's glory. The painting on the saucer symbolizes the Adige river, in an ideal embrace with the city of Verona.
